Wetsuits at the Waterpark!
No More Freezing!
We have gone to Great Wolf Lodge and Kalahari a few times. Our kids love the idea of the water park, but when we are there they have blue lips and continually want to run to the “warm pool” as they call it. We sit in the hot tub to warm up and then run back to the other areas.
All five of us love the heat. We go to Florida every summer and prefer the pool and ocean to be as warm as possible. When we were in Florida the last time I said that I wished that the waterparks local to us were warmer. I joked that I would need a wetsuit to ever go back. Fast forward to the fall.. We had day passes to Great Wolf Lodge that were expiring and I remembered my joke about the wetsuits and decided to order some on Amazon. This was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! haha We all spent the entire day swimming and playing and no one was miserably cold.
I researched the various types of wetsuits. There are different thickness material available and both short or long sleeves. Click here for an affiliate link to the one I ordered for myself. Check out the reviews for fit suggestions. I ordered up one size and was comfortable. I think I could have ordered my usual size and been ok, but I was concerned it may be too tight.
Click here for the affiliate amazon link to the one I ordered for my husband. He thought I was a little crazy at first and said he didn’t need one. He said to just get them for myself and the kids. We ended up ordering it for him and planned to return it if he didn’t wear it. Within 10min of being there he put it on.
Click here for the kids wetsuits we used. I was very happy with the fit and the kids all seemed comfortable. With the full body wetsuits it is important to have a tight fit. This allows the water to move freely in and out without it staying trapped inside the wetsuit.
Are you ready to be warm at the waterpark?!?!?!
